Tokyo-based Japanese artist Tensei Sugahara(菅原天齎) made his original theatrial body painting show in Tokyo.
He only uses Japanese calligraphy materials(brushes and inks) for his body painting shows to paint cause he is a Japanese calligrapher who have trained art of traditional Japanese calligraphy for years.
He is also a Japanese rope bondage master, both of calligraphy and rope bondage is Japanese traditional art, so he performs them to tell how beautiful they are, and how they could be sophisticated in the present.
In this video, the show is SM themed, so he used Japanese and occidental SM goods too: rope, wax, cuffs etc.
Normally he performs with some stage partners for his body painting shows, though due to this show’s feature, the stage partner is just one SM performer Touko Matsunaga(松永藤子).
